Father Schneller Mosaic Picture

Celebrating the occasion of 150 years of existence of the Schneller Schools in the Near East, founded on the 11.11.1860 in Jerusalem, I intend to provide a mosaic picture of Johann Ludwig Schneller, his sons Theodor and Ludwig, as well as his grandchildren Hermann and Ernst including the schools in Jerusalem, Nazareth (Galiläa), Khirbet Kanafar (Lebanon) and the school, built by Schneller and his successors, in Amman (Jordan).

The production of this web site is a private initiative of the signer, who is a member of the general association for Schneller schools e.V (WWW.evangelicher association for the Schneller schools) according to the resolution of the board meeting of 09. May 2009 in Stuttgart which was carried unanimously.

In a region full of tensions, wars, conflicts and poverty Schneller School helped over the centuries through education and training on the basis of love, respect, honesty, conscientiousness, order, discipline and attention towards the believers of other religions. This practice helped many people in the region.

The education in the Schneller School was for me personally and for my friends, who were educated with me, enough in order to master the difficulties of our lives. The ducation in this school enjoyed a very good reputation in the Near East.

In 1948 I joined the school in Nazareth, Beit Sahur and Bethlehem in the Holy Land. Then we moved to Libanon where we spent some time in Kahhale and Schamlan. After this I went with the other children to Khirbet Kanafar from 1954 to 1960 where I got my High School.

Then I studied medicine and was specialized in surgery in Germany. Thereafter I worked for 33 years as a physician in my own practice.

Gladly I cooperate as a member of the board in Schneller association and in the www.Schneller foundation „education for peace “.

Through the installed Counting Program at the beginning of the pictures there is a control on all accepted sums of money. The automatic e-mail answere to each one taking part in this initiative confirms the transfer of the sum of money.

Help to break the existing world record of 94.000 pictures mosaic pictures at the Jubiläium 2010. With at least 1 euro you participate. End of the deposit is the 15th of October 2010. The completed mosaic picture will decorate the festival rooms of the Schneller Schools as a large poster on the occasion of the anniversaries ceremonies.

What would happen with this money?
70% are intended for the purchase of music instruments for the establishment of a Schneller Orchestra for the JLSS and TSS.
10% donation to the EVS registered association for free use
10% donation to the Schneller foundation education to the peace
10% receive the programmer of this side, including the treatment of pictures. The received deposits would be transferred monthly to the EVS.
